Plano Planners Greenlight Tower, Heritage Tweaks, And Two Small Lot Fixes In One Busy Night

At the May 4, 2026, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Plano officials and residents focused on a mix of projects that touched the Legacy area, downtown, and a historic property near 15th Street. The decisions ranged from a tall sculptural tower tied to an office campus to a heritage site update and two smaller land-use fixes that clear the way for existing properties to move forward.
Legacy Drive Tower, Plaza, And Campus Plans Win First Round

Staff said the tower could also house a stealth antenna, with extra conditions on setbacks, lighting, FAA review, and construction standards. Commissioners approved the zoning and related site plans, setting the project up for City Council next.
