Another Week Of I-30 Closures Is Here. Here's Where Drivers Could Get Caught

Drivers on I-30 through Rockwall County are facing another round of lane, ramp and frontage-road closures as construction continues this week. The latest schedule covers work from September 13 through September 19, with many of the biggest disruptions happening overnight.

Several Stretches Of I-30 Are Affected

Eastbound drivers can expect a left-lane closure from TL Townsend Drive to FM 3549, along with alternating closures between Erby Campbell Boulevard and FM 35. Westbound lanes and ramps are also affected around the Erby Campbell and FM 35 area.

Additional work is taking place along the frontage roads between SH 205 and John King Boulevard, while an eastbound lane and Exit 69 are also included in the construction schedule.

More Work Is Coming September 17 And 18

The schedule also calls for an eastbound lane closure between Horizon Road and Goliad Street on September 17 and 18. Drivers traveling through the construction corridor should expect changing traffic patterns throughout the week and give themselves extra time, particularly during scheduled overnight work.
