Frisco Approves Stormwater Fee Increase, Debt Ordinance, and Legislative Agenda

Frisco City Council on Oct. 20 approved a stormwater fee increase, approved a debt ordinance tied to utility and environmental services projects, adopted a 2027 state legislative agenda, and rescinded an older daycare permit on Lebanon Road. The meeting also included reports on a federal fire staffing grant, a firefighter shift schedule study, tourism, HOA training, West Nile procedures, and police outreach.

Stormwater Fee Hike Gets Final Approval

Council approved an ordinance raising stormwater drainage fees for fiscal year 2027 in a 6-0 vote. Staff said the 10% increase is expected to bring in about $1.16 million. For an average residential bill, the monthly charge would rise about 73 cents, from $7.26 to $7.99. Staff said the money supports maintenance and capital work in the city’s stormwater system.
